Cause: gunfire

Deputy Stewart was shot in killed while attempting to arrest a robbery subject. The subject fled after killing Deputy Stewart and  shot and killed Sheriff Ed McMillan of Escambia County Sheriff's Office in Florida. The subject was later killed by a constable in Brewton Florida.

Deputy Stewart had served with the Baldwin County Sheriff's Office for an unknown length of time. He is survived by (information unknown at this time).
