Cause: vehicle accident

​

Officer Kountz was killed when his cruiser smashed into a pole while in route to assist another officer.

​

Officer Kountz had served with the Mobile Police Department for eleven months. He also served in the United States Marine Corps. He is survived by his wife, daughter and two sons.
