Police Officer Sean Tuder was shot and killed while attempting to apprehend  a subject wanted for several felony crimes, both local and federal.

Officer Tuder had been working relentlessly with investigators to track down the subject, who failed to show up in Federal Court. Early Sunday afternoon, Officer Tuder received information that the subject was in the area of 1545 Leroy Stevens Road. Upon locating the subject, a struggle ensued and shots were fired, fatally wounding Officer Tuder. Perez was taken into custody just moments later. 

 

Marco Perez, 19 years of age, was arrested and charged with Capital Murder.

 

Officer Tuder had served with the Mobile Police Department for three years.He also served in the Alabama National Guard, 173rd Infantry Unit. He is survived by his wife.
